The Axis Group, one of the UK’s fastest growing security and support services organisations, has launched Astute, a new business that supports other businesses in managing security and mitigating risk by delivering a range of bespoke training and consultancy services.
Benefitting from the strengths of its sister company, Axis Security, Astute’s training services include bespoke qualifications that are operationally relevant for in-house teams, existing security practitioners or FM managers looking to broaden their operational understan
ding of the sector. Astute also provides refresher training for security operatives using a bespoke e-learning platform.
Its consultancy services take a contemporary view of risk management and deliver advice that is rational, practical, reliable and appropriate. Services include project-based consultations on areas such as operational violence management and organisational security.
Richard Diston, Director of Astute, believes that the new business will provide fresh thinking and a unique approach to security management training and risk consulting: “The launch of Astute is a response to the increasing need to accelerate the ‘professionalisation’ of the security industry with relevant training while providing clients with highly qualified and commercially aware security management advice,” he says.
Richard possesses a Masters Degree with distinction in Security Management and has over 20 years of security experience including providing consulting services to care and retail sectors.
