A partnership between Axis Group and IT supplier, LP Networks, has recycled and donated laptops for use by Successful Mums which provides training and advice for women returning to work.
In just four years Successful Mums has helped 5,000 women build their careers and businesses by providing training, networking and mentoring programmes.
LP Networks wiped 15 Axis Group-owned laptops to ensure GDPR compliance and installed Windows 10 software before upgrading the machines' solid state drives (SSD).
Commenting on the ongoing initiative which is focusing on assisting charitable organisations, LP Networks' managing director, Lee Pepper, said:
"We are extremely pleased to provide Successful Mums with laptops that are entirely fit for the training purposes they require, and also be reducing waste and supporting GDPR.”
Simon Giles, Axis Group Finance Director, commented:
"This is an ideal use of laptops with plenty of life in them for other purposes. The LP Networks team has also done a fantastic job in upgrading them so that Successful Mums can make use of them for years to come."
Jane Knight, Successful Mums founder, added:
"We are extremely thankful for this initiative that will help us to deliver further training, and help more women build successful careers following motherhood."
